Golden Halo Awards!

The Southern California Motion Picture Council Hosted by International Film Star and SCMPC President and Chair Randal Malone!

What: Southern California Motion Picture Council 82nd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Ball - Tell all your faerie and leprechaun friends and be sure to wear something green!

 

Joining us will be the Hollywood Appreciation Society founded in 1928 (President Michael Schwibs), Rose Breast Cancer Society (President Carmelita Pittman), Silver Spurs Cowboy Association (President Robert Lanthier), Women’s International Center founded 1982 (President Bridget McDonald), Golden Boot (President Julie Reem), Senior Star Power (Founded by Pink Lady).

Who: Hosted by international film star Lord Randal Malone who will present the Golden Halo Award and other honors to an incredible group of Hollywood legends of the silver screen including:

Alexandra Borbolla

World-renowned artistic photographer and cinematographer Alexandra Borbolla is the founder of ABC Hydra Photography and Films. She has been featured in the internationally acclaimed film Human directed by French environmentalist Yann Arthus Bertrand. Borbolla has worked at Sky Television and Televise and has created films for Make a Wish and Aces. In addition to her cinematic work, she is a parental educator in the field of mindfulness, which she teaches in English, Spanish and French. Her sensitive portrayals of children in video and family portraiture have earned her rare special attention in the world of photography and film. She also works with both canvas and metal printing.

 

Special appearance

Academy Award winning cinematic icon Margaret O’Brien, famed child actress whose credits include Little Women, Meet Me in Saint Louis, Jane Eyre, Journey for Margaret and so many others.

Golden Globe award winning icon of Hollywood and animal rights activist, Tippi Hedren has starred in countless blockbuster films including Marnie, The Birds, Roar, Murder She Wrote, The Bionic Woman among many others and has been honored by countless organizations for her far-reaching accomplishments.

 

 

 

 

Marsha Hunt

(100 years young!!) MGM and Paramount film star and defender of civil liberties featured in over 60 movies including Born to the West (1937), Pride and Prejudice (1940), Kid Glove Killer (1942), Cry 'Havoc' (1943), Raw Deal (1948), The Happy Time (1952) and in Johnny Got His Gun (1971).

 

 

 

 

Norman Lloyd

(103 years young!!) (born Norman Perlmutter) actor, producer and director who has worked in radio, theatre, television and film dating back to the Great Depression, and at 103 years of age is the oldest working Hollywood actor. His over 60 credits include Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Spellbound, Dead Poets Society and Limelight.

The Southern California Motion Picture Council was founded in 1936 when  Linda Burke established its non-profit status on May 1, 1936. Our very first event was held at the celebrated Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel when  Jean Harlow accepted the Golden Halo Award.

Over 75 years later, we continue the grand tradition at the famed Sportsmen's Lodge in Los Angeles
